Iowa HP was created in the early 2000’s as a three-tier program consisting of tryouts, an individual skills camp and selection to our Iowa HP travel teams.  Through these programs, we are charged and committed to select, develop, and help support athletes who will represent the Iowa Region with the ultimate objective of winning medals at the USAV All-Star Championships and other national and international competitions if the opportunity should arise.


To take part in Iowa High Performance, you must be a member of the Iowa Region, or if not a current USAV member, live in Iowa, go to school in Iowa or your region does not have an All-Star/HP Program and participate in HP Tryouts. Tiers to Participate in Iowa HP:


1 – Attend a Tryout

  • Athletes need to attend at least one of the 5 tryouts to be selected to attend the Skills Camp.  These tryouts are hosted in Western Iowa, Des Moines (x2), Iowa City & Davenport.
  • Athletes can tryout at more than one tryout if they choose, this is completely optional.


2 – Train at Skills Camp

  • Athletes selected from Tryouts will attend our Skills Camp.  This camp is a 4-day camp for our older girls & our boys; and the U13 girls is a 2-day camp.  This camp will be led by top college & USA coaches, as well as athletes will work with a staff comprised of NAIA, NCAA D1-D3, NJCAA, & Club Coaches.


3 – Travel to Championships

  • The final teams will travel to the All-Star Championships in July!

  • April 28th – Posting of the Iowa HP Camp Invites by 10 pm
  • May 5th – HP Camp Acceptance Form & Participation Agreement (online) Due @ 1:00 pm
  • June 1st – HP Camp Final Payment Due
  • June 9-12th – Iowa HP Camp, Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA
  • June 10-11th - Girls U13 Division Camp
  • June 12th – Iowa HP Travel Team Rosters Announced
  • June 11th – Girls U13 Travel Team Rosters Announced
  • June 22nd – HP Travel Team Acceptance Form (online) Due @1:00 pm
  • July 13th – HP Travel Team Payment Due
  • July 20-21st – Travel Team Camp at TBD
  • July 22nd – Hotel Check-In & Practice Day at Columbus Convention Center
  • July 23-26th – All-Star Championships in Columbus, OH
