Midwest Open Beach Qualifier Information

1. We are paperless this weekend! Everything including scoring will be done on www.volleyballlife.com.
2. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOUR CELL PHONE IS CHARGED AS YOU WILL USE IT TO SCORE WHEN IT IS YOUR TURN TO REF. 
3. PLEASE KNOW YOUR LOGIN INFO TO VOLLEYBALLLIFE, SO YOU CAN LOGIN TO USE YOUR PHONE TO SCORE
4. Our venue is The Black Hawk Tennis Club located at 1005 Black Hawk Rd in Waterloo.
5. This tournament is waved and the age groups/times are as follows:
6. *AM Wave: 12U/16U Check-in time will be 7:00-7:30A, Rules meeting at 7:30A, Pool play will begin at 7:50A
7. *PM Wave: 14U/18U Check-in time will be 2:30-3P, Rules meeting at 3:00P, Pool play will begin at 3:20P (we will finish under the lights)
8. Coaches must be registered to coach this weekend. You don't need a coach to play. Coaches must have IMPACT and current SafeSport training. 
9. Coaches please check-in at the hut and we will give you a wristband. We will have a brief coaches meeting following the rules meeting.
10. Spectators will be allowed to set up tents behind the netting or on the sides of the courts. We ask that everyone be courteous with each other as there is not a lot of room around the courts. Please do your best to share the space. 
11. The dress code will be enforced. All athletes are REQUIRED to wear a top, for girls it must cover your midsection when standing, and bottoms such as spandex, shorts or leggings. No bikinis will be permitted for any team.
12. Ted Moser will have sand socks, sunglasses and a few other fun things for sale near the hut. Be sure to stop by to see what he has to offer. You may also order on his website (https://www.vballgear.com/footwear.html) and get 10% off using the discount code: BEACH. 
13. The hut will have limited concessions. Water, Gatorade, soda, ice cream novelties, chips and some candy bars.
14. There are showers behind the trees on the back side of courts 5 & 6. Bathrooms are available on the lower level of the club house between the tennis courts.
15.  A quick reminder that parents are not allowed to influence the ref team or the teams playing in any way. Your role is to cheer on your athletes, make sure they apply sunscreen and stay hydrated. 🙂
