Iowa HP Tryout Results

Tryout and Commitment Dates for 2026-27

Tryout and Commitment Dates for 2026-27 Season

No offers or tryouts will be sanctioned until July 5th. The first commitment date will be July 22nd. After that date, all offers will expire. Clubs can issue new commitments on July 23rd and those offers will expire on August 9th.

Clubs cannot offer you a position for the 26-27 season before JULY 5th, 2026 and they must use the Online Commitment System (OCS). Any commitment offered or accepted outside of the OCS will not be recognized by the region. Example: Club offers a verbal commitment before sending the OCS offer and the parent agrees. The club sends the commitment in OCS but the parent does not sign. There is no commitment even though the parent agreed verbally. Only the signed OCS offer is recognized.

All 25-26 full memberships are valid through August 31st. If you are a current member with a full membership you do not need a tryout membership for the Summer Tryouts.

Since USA Volleyball is transitioning to a new membership system for the 26-27 season, more information will be coming on how to purchase tryout memberships for the new season.

Welcome our New Boys Programming Director

Please help us in welcoming Jaime Araiza as our new Iowa Region Boys Programming Director. As a native of Anthony, New Mexico, Jaime's volleyball journey began as a player in his home region before he went on to compete at the collegiate level with the inaugural program at Mount Mercy University.

Jaime is currently the Varsity Head Coach for the Washington High School girls' team. He is dedicated to expanding the sport for young men across Iowa, leveraging his administrative and on-court expertise to drive growth and development in the region. As a proactive leader, Jaime's singular focus is seeing the sport flourish for future generations of players in the Iowa Region, and he is ready to promote USA Volleyball and regional events.

How to take the R eferee and Scorer Training

How to sign up for the courses

Note: You MUST have a current membership before you go through this process.

Instructions to get to the training:

- Log into SportsEngine

- If not on the “Home” tab, then click Home (on the left side)

o You should see “USA VOLLEYBALL ACADEMY” To the right click “ Launch ”

o You may get a Welcome screen…..click “Continue to my dashboard”

o Click Content Library on the left side

o Scroll down to select the required course(s) (See requirement below)

o Once you click on the course, it will take you to the page to “Start this course” in a DARK BLUE box

o NOTE: Once you come back to the USA Academy, your courses will be under “Enrollments” (left side), then look under the “In Progress” tab

o See instructions below

Note: Remember that the junior courses are already loaded for the junior players.

Caution: If you see a slide that states “This course is currently under construction” just click next module. This means that this slide is not uploaded as yet.

USA Volleyball Announces Inaugural Girls Junior Club Championship in 2026

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 7, 2025) - USA Volleyball is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural USA Volleyball Girls Junior Club Championship (GJCC), a new national event scheduled for June 5-7, 2026, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Designed as a stand-alone, non-bid championship event, the GJCC will offer competition for girls teams in the 10u through 17u divisions, creating exciting new opportunities for junior clubs across the country. The event will initially welcome 450 teams and is projected to grow into a 1,000+ team championship in the coming years.

Importantly, the GJCC will replace the existing Patriot Division within USA Volleyball’s Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC) structure for these age groups, which will now allow for additional bids in each division for GJNC beginning with the 2026 season. This initiative will enable USA Volleyball to expand its network of junior national qualifiers across the country, helping to reduce travel costs for clubs and families while meeting the growing demand for USAV-sanctioned events.

"The launch of the USA Volleyball Girls Junior Club Championship is an exciting step forward for our membership," said USA Volleyball Chief Operating Officer Steve Bishop. "This new event is ideal for USA Volleyball clubs looking to compete in a high-quality, three-day, non-bid national championship during the early June window each year. This championship is just one of several initiatives we are rolling out during this quadrennial to expand opportunities and pathways for our clubs, athletes and coaches nationwide. We look forward to seeing this event grow in size and impact in the years to come."

Hosted in one of the country’s premier volleyball venues, the inaugural GJCC will feature:

Eight age divisions (10u–17u)
Wave assignments: AM-10u/12u/14u/16u, PM-11u/13u/15u/17u
Three-day event format (pool play, challenge rounds, bracket play)
Multiple playoff divisions after pool play (Divisions 1, 2, 3)
Awards for division champions and an overall Club Cup for the top performing club

Tryout and Commitment Dates for 2025-26 Season

Here is the updated tryout and commitment dates for the 2025-26 Season. No offers or tryouts can be sanctioned until July 5th. The board of directors have added an extra deadline during the summer tryout season. The first commitment date will be July 23rd. After that date, all offers will expire. Clubs can issue new commitments after July 23rd and those offers will expire on August 10th.

All 24-25 full memberships are valid through August 31st. If you are a current member with a full membership you do not need a tryout membership for the Summer Tryouts.

If you are new to USA Volleyball, you will need a tryout membership to attend sanctioned tryouts. You may click the tryout membership button below to purchase your membership.

If you are already committed to a club please wait until you receive a link from the club director to purchase membership. This link will take you through the membership process and assign the member to the club in the system. These links are club specific.

Players may participate on a different club in the outdoor season since this is a separate season.

For summer tryouts, tryout memberships will be available beginning in July when tryouts can start. Tryout memberships are good through the fall tryout season. Tryout memberships are only valid for tryouts, they are not valid for full participation.
